Warning: Miscarraige Thoughts

So...Here's some irony for you.

This week I've been traveling for work. On Tuesday, Valentine's Day, I show up to the location and find out that one of the new girls that had been not showing up and calling out, had a miscarraige. She didn't even know that she was pregnant...not that that makes it any easier.

Then, less than 20 minutes after finding this out, a girl collapses in the bathroom! She's 1 month and 1 week pregnant and losing the baby! She is on the bathroom floor having contraction like pains and screaming in extreme pain! The ambulance is called and she was taken to the hospital.

What's so ironic? This day, February 14th, Valentine's day...was my due date! Umm, yeah, all this made getting through that day a whole lot eaiser! Pllleeeeaaase!

2 girls, 2 miscarraiges, 1 week! I am so not drinking the water in this place!

Scary coincidence? Horrible reminders? Or just more tests from God? You be the judge!

Update: Last I heard about the girl in the bathroom...she didn't lose the baby! She's in the hospital and being montiored for a few days. I am keeping my fingers crossed for her and her baby. She's in my prayers and should be in your's tonight too. (She's not anyone I even know, not a friend, not really a co-worker, no one I've even ever talked to, but she deserves our prayers in this time of need.)

All I really want is more time!

Tuesday, February 14, 2006

Ever find yourself reading a post and then you realize that it is really long, and you really want to finish, but if you're going to make it to everyone elses blogs then you have to limit yourself to 2.46571 minutes per blog?

Um, yeah. That's me. So I dig in and start reading and then I realize that I won't have time to finish but I promise myself that whne I have more itme that I will come back and read it all, start to finish (This is a promise that I almost always break.) It sucks! This is also one of the main reasons that I don't have time to actually post on my own blog. The good result is that it leaves time for pleanty of blog material to build up in my life...however, then it leads to one big long post or multiple posts on one day, occuring in no one spending the time to read them and then(nor would I spend the time to read them)...what is the point?

So...now, do I just start with today? Or should I go back and fill you in on other blog worthy info from the past week?

Ahhh, who cares?

My Valentine's was great! Ian is always good at the mushy holiday stuff. I on the other hand absoluely SUCK at it! I never know what to get him, I can't surprise him, I'm just not creative! At all! This year all he got is a card :( I got this adorable little bear that he hand made with my initials in it,

a wooden trinket box that he personalized for me and he got it for me to replace a box that he had bought me a few years back that one of the dogs recently destroyed and devastated me. Plus, he bought me a few unmentionables and made me a wonderful shrimp scampi dinner and cleaned up the house! What a man! I swear to you all that he really is the best! After dinner we had a nice trip out to the hot tub in the snow! It was freezing outside! But the tub is so nice!

Last Saturday we were expecting a snow storm/blizzard (first real snow this year for us) and we both had Sunday off together (which almost never happens). We both got off work early Saturday and came home, had dinner and got filthy drunk! Hehe! I haven't drank in 10 months so it really didn't take much, lol. We did multiple lemon shots and I really don't remember most of the night. I broke 2 glasses, one in the kitchen and then one in the bathroom, yikes. Ian wouldn't let me drink out of a glass all day Sunday, lol. I was pretty impressed that I was actually responsible enough to put the dogs to bed and clean up and put the pups to bed...although I don't remember doing any of that. Anyway, it was a fun night in and I'm sure I won't be drinking for another 10 months or so. I felt like crap all day Sunday! Yuck! Ian, on the other hand, felt great and ventured outside to make some naked snow angels! LMAO!! I stayed in and took some pictures of his crazy ass running throught the snow naked! No, he wasn't drunk when he did this!!!

Ok, you've probably all stopped reading way before this but now you've seen that picture and want to go back and figure out what the hell all that was about...so, enjoy!
