On The Move
Thursday, July 20, 2006
Well, the time has come.
We're moving!!!!
The movers are coming on Wednesday to pack up all our stuff, then Thursday they will move it out and I'm pretty sure it will be delivered on Saturday. Not bad considering when we moved to CT from NY we had to wait 3 weeks for our stuff to arrive.
Our closing is scheduled for Friday. I have a list about a mile long of things I need to do today and things that I need to make sure go in the Jeep with me for our trip to NY. A few things we learned in our first move...The most important thing to pack with us are some lamps! There's nothing like being in a new house and having only the refridgerator light to go by. I've learned my lesson. All the lamps are coming with me.
Then there's the dogs. I have a feeling that a 5 hour car ride with them isn't exactly going to be fun. I have to go to the vet today to get their records so that I can bring them to the new vet in NY....As soon as I find out where that is.
So today I'll be calling to set up the date to turn off the cable and internet. I've already made arrangements to have the new one installed at the new house, so we should only be a few days with out service. Not too bad.
Today is Mike and Mary's 5 year anniversary! Happy Anniversary guys! 5 years! Can you believe it! Wow! Mike, you better be doing something other than playing video games tonight!
Well, that's all I have for today. Hopefully I'll be able to post again before we make the move, but if not...I'll be back real soon.

Lurkers
Monday, July 17, 2006
Have you ever been blog surfing? Looking at a blog of a blog of a blog? Just going from one blog's favorites/blogroll to another to another and then...
suddenly you find your own blog on the list? It's kind of a weird feeling. I mean finding yourself on another blogroll of a blog you've never seen before.
There are a few blogs currently on my blogroll that I consistently read but have yet to comment on. Not sure why. I just haven't.
However, when seeing my blog on blogrolls that I happened to come across just perusing the blogosphere it gives me that weird feeling. I know that there are lurkers out there. Never commenting. Never letting you know they're
listening/reading. I don't mind really, I just hope that when those I lurk upon find that they are on my blogroll they won't feel weird.I guess it goes with the territory. Sharing you journal online for the world to see.
It's just weird. That's all.
