It's a boy. 7:20am.
Mama and pups are doing well. The pups are nursing at the moment and Patches is resting.

It has started. Yesterday at around 10am Patches started having contractions. She was restless all day, panting, crying and just overall uncomfortable. She wouldn't stay in her whelping box and insisted on sleeping with us last night, so needless to say, none of us really got any sleep at all. At around 10 of six she was refusing to get out of our bed and crying and moaning. We finally got her downstairs and into her box. The first pup was born at 6:13am.
She's such a good Mama!
Ian got to see the first one born right before he left for work. Although we didn't know the sex yet. It's a girl! Here's the first pic. I'll try to keep posting throughout the day until they're all here. Sorry I didn't get a very good shot of her, I'll get a better one later.
