I've been feeling kind of icky lately. I've had some kind of cold/allergies going on for a few days now and I am so ready for it to hit the road! Runny nose, sneezing, watery eyes, congestion, yuck! We've had the humidifier going in our bedroom for the last 4 nights...can you say Vick's Vapor? The smell is over whelming, smells like a hospital in our room. Very romantic stuff I tell you, lol.
The puppies are gone and we are heart broken :( One more sold (more on that in a minute) and the rest went to the vet on Friday for their shots and a lady at a small local pet shop took them to sell them for us. It's not like a regular petshop where they're all in little cages by themselves. They get to stay together in a big pen where they can run and play with each other, much like we had them here. I cried my eyes out the day before and the day they left, it was so sad. I know that they will all go to good homes and they have better chances this way, but I miss them so much. It was too hard to let them all go at once.
I just received a phone call this morning from the couple that bought one of the girls last week and they said that she has a hernia. I feel terrible so I called them back and asked for the details. They haven't brought her to the vet, they just think that she has one and want to know what to do. I'm a bit concerned because I know that they also have a pit bull puppy. All of the other pups received perfect bills of health from the vet on Friday, why would she be the only one with a problem? They couldn't tell me when her appointment was just that some friends said they thought it was a hernia. I told them to call me back after she sees the vet and let me know what she says. We go to the same vet as them and it's the same vet that just saw all 5 of the other pups on Friday so hopefully we can find something out as to what is going on with this one. I hope she is ok. For now all I can do is wait for their call. I think I'll call the vet next week and see what's up.
This week has been cold and miserable here. We had snow on Friday and yesterday. It's been rainy and the flood warnings have been up to 2 days long. Luckily we live on top of a huge hill/mountain so we don't have to worry about any flooding at our house, but if the town floods, then finding a way home might be an issue.
Other than all that, nothing else is going on around here. Ian cleaned the garage out for me just in time so I could park in it and not get any snow on my car :) It's the first time we've had a real garage so it's very exciting to know that we don't have to go out in the snow in the morning to clean off our cars before going to work.
I only have one week left of this training and then I can knock the 3 hours of driving off my days, I can't wait!
Well, I guess that's it for now. No new pics, nothing exciting, just us...hopefully I'll have some time soon to rediscover my camera and it's abilities.
